The Doctor should not be the Seller's Agency of Medicine,

RS might not refuse the Patient on the basis of Anything

Health Minister Dr Siti Fadilah Supari asked the doctors to have to not become the seller's agency of medicine that his work gave.
The use recommendation of certain medicine to the patient.

Therefore that caused problems for the medicating community because of must buy the relative medicine more expensive. (Same discussion in Holland,ed).

The ban was arranged in the Bill about Kerumahsakitan that at this time was discussed by the government in this case the Department of the Health and DPR RI in Jakarta.

Siti Fadilah said, the Kerumahsakitan UU plan was made as government efforts to improve the quality of the hospital service and the doctor at the same time pressing the height of the cost perobatan uptil now that was done by in general the hospital in Indonesia.

....snip ......

The matter of the improvement of the mechanism of the maintenance further Menkes, in this BILL also was arranged, the hospital side might not refuse the patient on the basis of anything.

?In the same BILL was arranged by firm sanctions against the hospital that found refused or neglected the patient especially the family not well-off,? she said.

In the future, the hospital side must also be more transparent maintained the cost perobatan or the maintenance.

The hospital side must he said explain any component that was given in the medical tariff in the relevant hospital covered the doctor's cost, the price of the room, medicine et cetera.

So as he said, the hospital no longer in any way maintains the tariff to the patient.

On the other hand the matter of the bird flu virus, according to the Minister, from the available data totalling 55 people died because of the bird flu virus from 74 cases.

However the number of areas that beforehand was stated endemic currently remained at 20 provinces still was endemic from before 30 provinces.

One of the steps overcame the virus H5N1 that according to the Minister, the government provided 12 million items tamiflu that was produced in the country that was spread all through the Community Health Centre in Indonesia and was not sold freely.

Tamiflu he said, effective medicine was given 2 days after someone was found experienced was sick with the sign and the characteristics that were the same as the bird flu virus like the fever that very high.

The following step for the prevention, when someone was found contracted the illness like that then all the inhabitant in a radius of 1 kilometre in the location sufferer also must be given tamiflu that although being not yet sick.

?So the extermination and the vaccination not the effective method to prevent bird flu,? she said.

...all the inhabitant in a radius of 1 kilometre in the location sufferer also must be given tamiflu...

Interesting that the criteria is a diameter, with no mention of contacts. Hopefully contacts also receive tamiflu.

How much supervision is used for this tamiflu blanket? Under what conditions might improper drug administration (less than optimum dosage, etc.) lead to developing immunity?
