A person not wearing appropriate PPE (gloves, gown, N95 mask, goggles or face mask), AND

[h=4]Suspected case definition:[/h]
- Fever AND pneumonia or acute respiratory distress syndrome(clinical or radiological evidence) and EITHER
- A history of travel in the Middle East region 14 days before symptom onset; OR
- Close contact with a symptomatic traveler who developed fever and acute respiratory illness (not necessarily pneumonia) within 14 days after travelling from the Middle East region
- Fever AND respiratory illness (cough, dyspnea) AND being in a healthcare facility in the Middle East region 14 days before symptom onset
- Fever or respiratory symptoms (cough, shortness of breath) AND close contact with a confirmed case while the case was ill
- Fever AND respiratory illness AND a history of staying in the healthcare facility in which more than 2 cases were confirmed
A person not wearing appropriate PPE (gloves, gown, N95 mask, goggles or face mask), AND
- stayed within 2m of the case; OR
- stayed in the same room/ward (family member, healthcare worker etc); OR
- directly contacted respiratory secretions of the case
