Eight people in Michigan are being monitored to see if they develop the Ebola virus, but none has shown symptoms of the deadly disease, the Michigan Department of Community Health confirmed Tuesday.
The individuals are located in several Michigan counties, which Department of Community Health spokeswoman Angela Minicuci would not identify.
As of 11/10/2014: There are currently 5 individuals being actively monitored in Michigan (9 have completed the monitoring cycle). The Michigan Department of Community Health and the State network of local public health agencies are currently supporting the monitoring of individuals with a travel history that includes a return to the State from Ebola affected areas. For 21 days following departure from affected areas, this includes twice daily measurement of temperature and monitoring of symptoms.
