Michigan's first child flu death this season confirmed
Michigan's first child flu death this season has been confirmed, and state health officials are urging everyone 6 months of age and older to get vaccinated.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, last year?s flu season was estimated to be the deadliest since the 2009 H1N1 pandemic. More than 79,000 deaths were attributed to the flu, 185 of which were children.
In Michigan, two children died last year due to flu-related complications.

due to new lab-confirmed increases in parts of the Northern
region, expanding activity within the Central region, and

occasional B?s.

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. - There have been two adult flu-related deaths in Oakland County this flu season, the county health division announced Wednesday.
