By Andres R. Martinez
April 27 (Bloomberg) -- Mexico will begin giving antivirals
to people suspected of having swine flu, after as many as 149
people may have died of the disease.

The country?s hospitals will start administering flu
medication from tomorrow to suspected swine-flu cases, even
before the strain of virus has been confirmed,
Health Minister
Jose Cordova said in Mexico City today. Antivirals are most
effective during the first two days that symptoms appear, he
said.
