Mexico reports numbers are down with each day...

According to several sources the number of people becoming sick has become less and less with each passing day. The last three days the numbers have been down - each day.

Anyone have further information or links on that subject?

Sounds encouraging - if true.

Niman's phrase is "this is a herald wave".

Got it?
In 9 months, we'll encounter the gifts of the Southern Hemisphere. I for one don't look forward to that.

But, of course, the virus, like in Sumatra, is just dissipating. NOT.

I haven't come across such reports. Please post if any are found.

As Gaudia and others have said, even if numbers drop off, it does not mean this flu is done.

Re: Mexico reports numbers are down with each day...

official numbers are:

61,81,103,149 for deaths and 1004,1324,1614,1995 for cases (hospitalized ? severe ?)

it may be going down in some district, some officials may refer
to their district only

Re: Mexico reports numbers are down with each day...

I have searched and searched for the story. It came out after last night Mexican Conference - I can not find it, though. Was hoping someone else could find that information.

I wonder if some people have opted to care for sick family members at home after watching news reports by hospital workers of mayhem in the hospital? Can we get the stats on the compared mortality rates between this year and last year in Mexico city?

I don't know about Mexico but an 85 y o MD friend of mine got it from his daughter on 3/21/09. She had just come back from Mexico City. He was very ill and almost died but refused hospitalization. He wanted to die at home.
Needless to say, this did not show up in the PA state flu count. How many hundreds or thousands of cases are like him all over the US and Mexico?
