Popocatepetl Volcano pitched six vents, one with mild explosive component, and does not represent danger to the public, according to the National Center for Disaster Prevention. The Cenapred, a communiqu? issued at the edge of the 11 in the morning, reported this and said that of the six vents mentioned, the three most important occurred on Tuesday at 4:50, 6:12 and 6:22 pm. The second of these smokers, had a mild explosive component without throw fragments on slopes of the volcano. Due to poor visibility, Cenapred was unable to determine the amount of ash emitted. These exhalations were preceded by some segments of low amplitude tremor, which accumulated 5 minutes total. The remaining breaths were accompanied by water vapor and gas. So far, the volcano warning light goes yellow, phase two. This means maintaining the probability of the following scenarios: moderate exhalations, some with ash emissions, sporadic bursts of low to moderate probability of emission of incandescent fragments within walking distance of the crater and incandescent light in the crater of the volcano observable during night. Finally Cenapred makes recommendations for the population: being attentive to official information disclosure; not to approach the giant within a radius of 12 kilometers, and in particular to civil protection authorities are required to maintain preventive procedures according to their operational plans, and maintain controlled traffic between Santiago and San Pedro Nexapa Xalitzintla via Paso de Cort?s.
