August 1, 2020. Mexico reports 434193 cases and 47472 deaths

The government reported 434193 cases as of 9:00 a.m. today, a massive record increase in cases of 9556 - exceeding yesterday’s high in new cases by more than 1000 cases - or 2.25%. Of these, 32944 are active cases, an increase of 1579 since yesterday. As well, there are 87771 suspected cases, a decrease of 2551. 284847people have recovered.

Deaths increased by 804 or 1.72% to 47472. There are 2384 suspected deaths.
Mexico has done 999697 tests, 15409 additional tests reported since yesterday.

Of the hospital beds designated for COVID-19, on a national level 45% are occupied leaving 55% available. In Mexico City, 51% of those beds are occupied. In Nayarit 81% are occupied, In Nuevo Le?n 79%, in Tabasco, Colima and Coahuila 65%, in Puebla 61%, in Veracruz 59%, in Guanajuato 58%, in Tamaulipas 52% and in Baja California Sur 50%.

Of the hospital beds with ventilators, the ICU beds, on a national level 38% are occupied. In Mexico City, 49% are occupied. In Tabasco 59% of ICU beds are occupied, in Nuevo Le?n 58%, in Colima 56%, in Veracruz 54%, in Zacatecas 52% and in Puebla 50%.

The government reported 439046 cases as of 9:00 a.m. today, an increase in cases of 4853 or 1.12%. Of these, 32015 are active cases, a decrease of 929 since yesterday. As well, there are 83119 suspected cases, a decrease of 4652. 289384 people have recovered.

The incidence for accumulated cases as of August 1 is 343.56 per 100,000 inhabitants.

Deaths increased by 274 or 0.58% to 47746. There are 2323 suspected deaths.
Mexico has done 1005498 tests, 5801 additional tests reported since yesterday.

Of the hospital beds designated for COVID-19, on a national level 44% are occupied leaving 56% available. In Mexico City, 50% of those beds are occupied. In Nuevo Le?n and Nayarit 74% are occupied, in Coahuila 67%, in Tabasco 64%, in Veracruz 61%, in Puebla and Colima 60%, in Guanajuato 55% and in Tamaulipas 51%.

Of the hospital beds with ventilators, the ICU beds, on a national level 39% are occupied. In Mexico City, 49% are occupied. In Nuevo Le?n 65% are occupied, in Tabasco 57%, in Veracruz 56%, in Baja California and Zacatecas 51% and in Colima 50%.
