Deaths increased by 294 or 7.5% to 4220. The number of suspected deaths is 318.

Of the beds designated for COVID-19, 34% on a national level are occupied. In Mexico City, 70% are occupied.

Thursday May 14, 2020 Mexico reports 42595 case and 4477 deaths
At tonight's 7pm press conference, Mexico reported 42595 cases, an increase of 2409 cases (6%), the first time the increase in cases has exceeded 2000. Of these,10057 are active cases. As well, there are 26746 suspected cases.
Deaths increased by 257 or 6.1% to 4477. The number of suspected deaths is 420.

Of the beds designated for COVID-19 patients, 35% on a national level are occupied. In Mexico City, 73% are occupied.
Of the beds with a ventilator, 29% are occupied. In Mexico City, 58% are occupied. Sinaloa showed a decrease to 55%. Estado de Mexico showed a small decrease as well to 54%.

The Ministry of Health (SSa) reported this Friday, May 15 that the accumulated COVID-19 infections are 45,032. Furthermore, since the beginning of the epidemic, Mexico has suffered 4,767 fatalities.

During the morning conference this Thursday, President Andr?s Manuel L?pez Obrador said that this week it is expected that "the most difficult days" will be lived in relation to the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

The president stressed that the economic reactivation will begin with the so-called "Municipalities of Hope", which are the localities in which there have been no cases of contagion by COVID-19 and that they will have a review by a specialized sanitary fence to review the evolution of return to activities.

At the beginning, economic activities and schools will return, the latter being the ones that will face the greatest restriction to restart activities.

Coronavirus in Mexico: 5,177 deaths and 49,219 confirmed cases, the Ministry of Health reports the progress of COVID-19 in Mexico from the National Palace

According to the technical report of the Ministry of Health (SSa), until this Sunday, May 17, 49,219 accumulated cases and 5,177 deaths from coronavirus have been confirmed in Mexico.

This was announced by Hugo L?pez-Gatell, undersecretary for health promotion and prevention, at the press conference held at the National Palace.

During the conference led by the SSa Undersecretary, reference was also made to the entities with the most confirmed cases of COVID-19, where Mexico City, Baja California and the State of Mexico are the entities that lead the list; while Zacatecas, Durango, and Colima, are the three with the least record.

Among other advances in Mexico regarding SARS-CoV-2, a group of academics from the Autonomous University of Quer?taro (UAQ) developed an experimental protocol for the detection of coronaviruses, which represents a low-cost alternative test.

In a period between April 1 and May 12, they detected 271 cases of COVID-19. It should be noted that it is a project that was implemented a week after Phase 2 due to coronavirus was decreed in Mexico, in order to contribute to the detection of cases.

Dr. Karina Acevedo Whitehouse indicated for the magazine Proceso that the test in which they work at the UAQ, "because although it is not infallible, we do not have false positives at all, and we have so far 271 reagents that are within 3,000 samples ”.

At tonight's 7pm press conference, the government reported 54346 cases as of 1:00 this afternoon, an increase of 2713 cases, the highest increase reported to date, or 5.3%. Of these, 11767 are active cases, an increase of 467 since yesterday. As well, there are 29450 suspected cases.
Deaths increased by 334 or 6.3% to 5666. There are 733 suspected deaths.

At tonight's 7pm press conference, the government reported 59567 cases, an increase in cases of 2973 or 5.3%. Of these, 12905 are active cases, an increase of 820 since yesterday. As well, there are 33291 suspected cases.

The light green states, with the fewest number of active cases, are Durango, Zacatecas and Colima, moving north to south The two green states are Baja Califormia Sur and Campeche. The three bright red states north to south are Baja Califormia, Veracruz and Tabasco. Mexico City and the State of Mexico have the most active cases. The exact numbers are below.

The general director of Epidemiology, Jos? Luis Alom?a Zegarra, reported that at the close of May 22, there were 6,989 deaths, 62,527 accumulated confirmed cases and 13,347 active COVID-19 infections, reaching a new record.

The official also reported that there are 113,742 negative cases and 33,801 are suspects, out of a total of 210,070 tests carried out to this day 61 of the National Day of Sana Distance.

Mexico City and the State of Mexico top the list of entities with the highest number of infections and deaths from SARS-CoV-2. On the contrary, Zacatecas, Durango, and Colima, are the three with the lowest number of deaths.

This day there are 814 suspected deaths, which could add to the total number of deaths from COVID-19.

According to the figures of the past days, infections have increased exponentially, going from 54,346 on May 19 to 59,567 yesterday and this afternoon to 62,527.

Mexico City, Baja California, and the State of Mexico continue to lead the list of entities with the highest number of SARS-CoV-2 infections and deaths. By contrast, Aguascalientes, Durango, and San Luis Potos? are the three with the lowest number of deaths.

MEXICO CITY, May 27 (Reuters) - Known cases of coronaviruses in Mexico touched a new daily high of 3,463 on Wednesday, bringing the total number of infected to 78,023, according to data released by health authorities in the Latin American country.

For its part, the number of new deaths related to the virus in Mexico was 463, increasing deaths to 8,597, at a time when the country reopens essential sectors of its economy as it prepares for a "new normal" from June 1 .

President Andr?s Manuel L?pez Obrador said Wednesday that he was evaluating the possibility of resuming his tours of the interior of the country next week.

Mexico is among the 10 countries with the most deaths related to COVID-19, the disease caused by the new coronavirus that emerged in China at the end of last year, according to a Reuters count.

The undersecretary of Health, Hugo L?pez-Gatell has recognized that the number of infections and deaths would be underestimated in the country.
