Newsweek: Mexico City—doctors have been explicitly told not to record pneumonia as a cause of death

Local authorities are trying to tamp down fear in other areas, as well. Clinics and hospitals are crammed with sniffling patients, but officials in Mexico City say that only about 2 percent are being kept for observation because they show swine-flu symptoms. According to Mexico's minister of health, José Ángel Córdova, around 2,000 cases of pneumonia have been detected nationwide. About half of the patients have been discharged, 700 remain hospitalized and 150 have died—although Córdova is still waiting to confirm whether swine flu caused all of the deaths.

These statistics, however, may not be reliable. Some Mexican doctors say that some swine-flu deaths have not been recorded as such because patients were not tested for the virus; others suggest that Mexican health authorities may be trying to conceal the extent of the crisis. In Mexico City's state-owned Darío Fernández Hospital, for example, four patients were admitted to the intensive-care unit in the last week suffering from pneumonia. All showed symptoms of swine flu, and two died last Friday. Yet their death certificates made no mention of the virus because the victims were not tested for it.

Another physician, who spoke with NEWSWEEK en Español but asked not to be identified, claimed that in the Gea González Hospital—the biggest facility run by the Ministry of Health in Mexico City—doctors have been explicitly told not to record pneumonia as a cause of death. "You must say that they died of cardiac arrest or anything else," said the physician about the instruction given to them. (The Ministry of Health did not comment on these allegations ahead of NEWSWEEK en Español's deadline this week.)

I am not suprised at this at all really.

Take Cancun for example. It exists solely based on Tourism. There have been verified exported cases of where the infected person only visited Cancun on their vacation.

To date, the Yucatan still has no swine flu but they are exporting it non-the-less. A neat trick if you ask me.

One has to wonder whether the CFR is accurate and the numbers are distorted?

Still, Mexico's numbers are highly suspect.

Newsweek isn't exactly the National Enquirer.

And the Scottish cases were vacationers in Cancun.

It is hearsay. Take it for what it's worth. Newsweek would not lie but the Doctor might. Under counting is a certainty though based on tourist infections.

It's just ONE hospital & an anonymous report.

It could be that the additional workload imposed by high WHO phases was getting in the way of patient care. Someone may feel that reducing paperwork will result in saving lives.

The same old way of coverting, apart the shine examples.

First the vacc. and meds weren't make in time (4 years) to all,
and the main shields be instaurated as triages and handwashing.

Than the appearance of strange atypical pneumonias the last few months throughout worldwide were coverted without reporting, or missreporting.

Than it was avoided to apply strict biosafety control measures in the hospitals from the staff.

And than, when such abnormal pneumonia deadly pattern appear, its localization was delayed, and the virus dilagate.

Finaly, because of an short time benefit for the travel business, it was lefted all the airplains to fly (now nobody want to fly, so no business), even when was publicly note, and this spreaded the virus from an big island (the american continent) to all other continents in a matter of days, otherwise by ship, and decontaminated cargo plains, the virus will take a month to come.

So, it is an "lemuric" way of suicide ...
