The Health sector health established a siege in Nuevo Laredo and the region, presented after two suspected cases of measles in two children of one and five years old.
Dependence authorities indicated that the first action "will be vaccinating people and confirm that the immunization record and have children with this vaccine and if not, apply it immediately as a precautionary measure."
The representative of the Sanitary District, Jaime Guti?rrez Serrano, said that samples of two suspected cases were sent to Victoria, so within two weeks will know the final results.
"We began with analysis and studies of febrile illness in anyone who has symptoms of fever and hives, whether the disease in question," he said.
He added "health fences established five miles around the colonies Valley of Anahuac and Villas San Miguel, where we vaccinate people aged between 10 and 35 years of age who do not have the measles."
He said that the Ministry of Health in Tamaulipas (SST) has implemented a series of strategies that seek to prevent the spread of this disease, after earlier this week issued a nationwide alert to emerge the first case involving a girl who recently returned from France.
He recalled that measles is a disease whose symptoms include sudden onset of malaise, fever and rashes as well as presenting a picture of a cold.
"The most recent case of measles in Tamaulipas was presented in 1995 in Reynosa. In Tamaulipas is an epidemiological alert involves about 15 000 doses of vaccine for all persons between 10 and 39 years of age who have not received.
"We have 300 vaccines available and ready to apply," he said
