Meningitis reported in Dibble School District

A Dibble first-grader has been released from the hospital after being diagnosed with meningitis, Dibble Public Schools Superintendent Chad Clanton said.
The school district was notified this week that the student has the disease, but Clanton said the school will remain open.
"It is going to be open," Clanton said. "The physician is not fully declaring that it's viral in nature, but they have a real, real strong belief that it is."
Clanton said the school district has been in contact with the State Health Department, which made the recommendation to keep the school open.
