San Carlos, Rio Claro receive a remedy against new flu

The drug Oseltamivir phosphate, used in the treatment of new influenza (H1N1) is already being offered for free from Thursday (15) by People's Pharmacy Program, Ministry of Health, in San Carlos and Rio Claro.
To receive the Oseltamivir, the citizen must present identity and prescription medication issued by a physician. The recipe is valid for five days and will be retained at the health unit. San Carlos received 2050 cards and pill, Rio Claro, 2400.
The antiviral may also be found in clinics and hospitals set by the Departments of Health for 2010, the government has stock of 21.9 million treatment courses for adults and children.
The drug is also indicated for treatment of patients with flu symptoms that are carriers of risk factors such as chronic disease and pregnancy. Under the guidance of the manufacturer, in case of pregnancy the drug should only be used if the benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus.
In San Carlos, the pharmacy is popular in the Rua Santa Cruz, 198 Center. In Rio Claro, the pharmacy is located on 2nd Avenue, opposite the Public Garden.
