2,603 cases (+ 43)
34 patients hospitalized at the CHM including 4 in intensive care
2,325 patients officially cured 35 deaths are to be deplored (including 2 medical evacuations).

The 43 additional cases are spread over several days.

Covid-19 in Mayotte, 12,000 tests carried out since the start of the epidemic

For several weeks now, health authorities have been talking about stabilizing the figures. Stabilization seems to be confirmed, in the past 24 hours, only seven cases have been recorded. A total of 2,650 people tested positive for coronavirus in the department.

In detail, 32 people are currently hospitalized at the Mayotte hospital center; the majority in the medical service. In the intensive care unit, 3 patients are always admitted. Officially, 2,341 people are considered cured of the Covid-19 in Mayotte.

Regarding medical evacuations to hospitals in Reunion, a total of 9 people are still hospitalized, including 4 in intensive care.

Since the start of the health crisis, the 101st department of France has deplored 34 deaths, including 2 that have occurred in Reunion. Regarding the tests, nearly 12,000 were carried out by the laboratory of the CHM and the only private laboratory on the island. ARS Mayotte continues to raise awareness of the need to respect barrier gestures.

In the past 24 hours, 35 new cases of Covid-19 have been identified in Mayotte, bringing the total number of cases recorded on the island of perfumes to 2,778. Among these 35 cases, 12 people tested positive were to go to Reunion via flight UU 275 this Friday.

For information, to travel to Reunion, the Mahorais must prove a compelling reason for travel. However, the Covid test is not mandatory, but health officials strongly recommend that travelers do so 72 hours before departure.

Regarding the flight on Friday, a device had been set up by the prefecture with the possibility of screening at the CHM of Dzaoudzi and that of Mamoudzou.
