No new Covid-19 positive cases have been recorded in Mauritius for three days. 439 tests were carried out on Tuesday and 370 on Wednesday.

Figure revealed by Zouberr Joomaye, advisor to the Prime Minister's Office, during the National Communication Committee's communication point on the Covid-19 which he hosted from his residence in the early evening on Wednesday.

The number of positive cases recorded in Mauritius therefore remains at 324, therefore nine deaths. 65 patients have been cured so far.

Another 16 patients, tested positive for Covid-19, have been cured in Mauritius, bringing the total recovered to 81 so far. A total of 324 positive cases were recorded.

This was stated by Zouberr Joomaye, advisor to the Prime Minister's Office, during the National Communication Committee's communication point on the Covid-19, at PMO, in the early evening this Thursday.

No new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Mauritius during the past four days. The total number of positive cases therefore remains at 324, including nine deaths. 462 screening tests were carried out Wednesday and 277 others this Thursday, said Dr Zouberr Joomaye.

Exactly one month after registering the first three positive cases of Covid-19 in Mauritius, the country has 133 active cases. This is the announcement made by the Minister of Health this Saturday, April 18, at the press conference of the National Communication Committee. Dr. Kailesh Jagutpal also revealed that a new case has been identified in the past 24 hours, the first after six days.

This new case concerns a person with symptoms who went to a clinic for treatment. The latter referred the case to the Ministry of Health. The ministry officers therefore went to his home and he underwent a test which proved to be positive. But the tests carried out on ten members of his family turned out to be negative. The Minister assured that this case is the subject of medical follow-up.

Dr. Jagutpal also pointed out that only one patient remains in intensive care to date. The second patient, who was in a similar state of health, is on the mend. A total of 180 people recovered from Covid-19 in Mauritius.

Furthermore, he reiterated the fact that it is still too early to conclude that the peak of the epidemic in Mauritius is already behind us. He called on the public to remain vigilant and to continue to comply with the containment measures.

Two new cases were recorded today following the Ministry of Health’s Contact Tracing exercise. Of the 535 tests carried out yesterday and today, two cases were found to be positive. According to our information, the two new patients have been placed in isolation.

So the number of positive cases in Mauritius drops to 331 cases. In addition, there are 9 deaths and 266 people healed. The two new patients having been in contact with other people, said the ministry responsible. The number of positive cases recorded in Mauritius has now increased to 332. This is apparent from the latest press release issued by the National Communication Committee on the Covid-19, Sunday April 26. The main information: a new case has been identified.
