Cape Ann Emergency Planning Team announces Emergency Preparedness trainings to be held Tuesday, April 1, from 7-9 p.m. at the Rockport Police Station, 168 Main St., in the Community Room.
Clinical and non-clinical volunteers are needed for the local Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). The Pandemic Flu training describes the characteristics and impact of pandemic influenza from a historical and current perspective with heightened emphasis on public health measures used to protect people and prevent the spread of infection during a pandemic.
The program will be presented by Betsy Land, Health Educator, Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
There are 2.0 contact hours for the Pandemic Flu Training available to physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health professionals, certified health officers, sanitarians, pharmacists and EMTs.
