Hello, I have been lurking here for the last month. I wonder how long they are going to continue reporting every death as having an underlying health condition?

PHOENIX - The first death related to the H1N1 swine flu has been reported in Maricopa County.

According to the health department a woman in her late 40s with a underlying lung condition died last week from complications of the flu.

Yes, the deaths in Mexico were in the 25-44 age group. Pretty much the same here.

Arizona has the original novel strain from Mexico which presumably had survived
some months in the environment without mutating

The problem with this theory about the U.S. deaths is that basically Houston, Hildago County and Corpus Christi in Texas are all <100 feet above sea level and Seattle I am looking.

Phoenix, ARIZONA (BNO NEWS) ? A 57-year-old woman became Arizona?s second swine flu death last week, officials said on Tuesday afternoon.

?It was a 57-year-old female from Pinal County, Arizona,? said Alia Maisonet, who is a spokeswoman for the Gila River Indian Reservation. The woman, who?s identity is not being released, was admitted to a hospital outside the reservation after she complained of flu-like symptoms.

Shortly after her hospitalization last week, the woman passed away and tests later confirmed she did in fact have swine flu at the time of her death. Officials refused to provide details on the exact day she died but did say the woman had a pre-existing medical condition. ?She had a compromised immune system,? the spokeswoman said. ?Confirming whether or not she actually passed away from H1N1 flu is hard to tell because of the pre-existing medical condition.?

The Arizona Department of Health Services and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) also confirmed that a second person with swine flu had passed away. Both had no additional information on the case.

On May 14, a woman suffering from a lung condition and swine flu became the first Arizona citizen to die in relation to the disease that killed dozens in mainly Mexico and the United States.

Am I the only one worldwide who wonders about the
few mutations in some of the viruses ?
And the public isn't even interested ?

OK, Mexico may want to cover up, they have not so many experts,labs,
but this is USA, CDC !

Is the world even the same that it was 20 years ago or did I miss something

well I'm watching everything you are saying very closely, but I don't have a clue what to look for, I saw two different flu strains merge in my office alone.

in Mexico there are 5 different strains hitting the population.

today utah reported a perfectly healthy young adult with no other health issues died from the swine flu.

We are all watching not really knowing what to do.

I know the experts here on this site are burried to their eyeballs looking for answers, so I don't want them to take time from what is important to answer our questions.

when they finally come up for air, I'm pretty sure they will share what they've learned...

ask your representative or the local newspaper to disclose the origin of
A/Arizona/01/2009-04-22(H1N1) , where he may have got it from.
Find the telefone,email of the 8M or his parents and ask them.

The sequences are virtually identical to a number of isolates across the world.
PS The pandemic began over a month ago, no estimates required.

it was student of my sister...

questions have already been asked...

never traveled to mexico or contact with pigs, they are guessing it was another student in the school with mild symptoms H2H

That's when we also found out the Hospitals were running out of test kits...

but wait, wasn't this the first case... ;)

May also be a problem getting the reagents for sampling(?)/testing. I heard that somewhere semi-official around here.
