The map below shows those regencies and cities highlighted in yellow. So far these suspected human cases have only been reported from the islands of Sumatra and Java. Note that these suspected cases are widely dispersed throughout the two islands, indicating that avian outbreaks of H5N1 (along with associated suspected human cases) are not isolated but wide spread throughout these two islands of Indonesia.
