Eight human H5N1 infections have been reported by the China Ministry of Health since mid December 2008. The map below shows the location of the 6 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions where these cases of human H5N1 infections have occurred.

This map shows the date of onset and the location of onset of four of the recent confirmed human cases in China in the two adjacent provinces of Guizhou and Hunan.
