Imphal, June 14 2012: A three-day training on 'capacity building for veterinary doctors & para-vets in preparedness, control and containment of avian influenza (bird flu) in Manipur' organised by Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services commenced from today at the Conference Hall of Manipur State Veterinary Council, Sanjenthong.
Inaugurating the training programme as the chief guest, director (Vety & AH) Dr Th Jeevan Singh said ever since the first case of avian influenza (bird flu) was reported in India in 2006 Government of India has been taking up various preventive measures till date.
