Buzz up!Twitter An armed robber reportedly told a Keizer bartender that he needed money because his daughter was stricken with swine flu, grabbed cash and then fled, police said.
It was reported at 2:20 a.m. this morning at Good Times, a bar and restaurant in the 100 block of Chemawa Road N, according to Keizer police Sgt. Greg Barber.
A bartender told police a man entered the bar with what appeared to be a gun, and demanded money from the register.
When the bartender said she tried to convince the man not to take the money, the man indicated to her that he needed the money because his daughter had swine flu, Barber said.
The man grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.
Police searched the area with a police dog, but did not find the man.
The suspect was described as white, between 22 and 25 years old, with an unkempt moustache and facial hair. The man was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, baggy blue jeans and a black ski mask.
