Koulouba.com 02/04/2022 Press release
The Minister of Rural Development informs national public opinion that, following high poultry mortalities observed in poultry farms in the peri-urban area of Kati, the competent services of the ministry (National Directorate of Veterinary Services and Central Veterinary Laboratory) proceeded to investigations which revealed, in the said farms, infection with the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza virus, commonly known as Avian Flu.
The following precautionary measures have been taken to limit the spread of this disease. However, the Minister of Rural Development invites:
• professionals in the sector to report any mortality to the nearest veterinary services or to the administrative and political authorities within their jurisdiction;

He reassures public opinion that measures are underway to contain the disease, in order to protect the poultry industry.
