Covid-19 results in Mali 12 new cases this May 10, 2020

Mali registered this Sunday, May 10, 2020, 12 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing to 704 the total number of infections in the country.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, of the 90 samples tested in the past 24 hours, 12 returned positive, of which seven cases are in Bamako.

A total of 49 patients have tested negative and no deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, the ministry said in a statement.

A total of 2,050 contact cases are being monitored daily, the statement said.

To date, this West African country has had 704 confirmed cases, including 38 deaths and 347 cured, since the epidemic began in the country on March 25.

To contain the spread of the virus, Malian Prime Minister Boubou Cisse announced Saturday evening the extension of the closure of all education orders until June 2, and the compulsory wearing of the mask in all public spaces of the country. The state of health emergency declared on March 25 in Mali is maintained.

This brings to 758 the total number of positive cases of Covid-19 in our country. The cases were listed in: commune II (01 case); commune III (01 case); commune IV (08 cases); commune V (06 cases); commune VI (04 case); Timbuktu (05 cases); Mopti (01 case); and Kalabancoro (01 case).

To date, there have been a total of 412 cases of recovery and 44 deaths from Covid-19 in Mali, including 32 in the patient care services.

Mali's health services on Thursday reported 21 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number to 779 in the country.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 96 samples tested in the past 24 hours, 21 have been found to be positive, of which 13 are in Bamako, the epicenter of the pandemic in Mali.

A total of 24 patients have been tested negative, therefore declared cured, and 2 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours in the country, said in a statement the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, adding that 1,785 cases contacts are monitored daily.

To date, this West African country has had 779 confirmed cases, including 46 deaths and 436 cured, since March 25.

Mali recorded this Sunday, May 17, 2020, 25 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus COVID-19, bringing the provisional assessment to 860.

According to the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 119 samples tested in the past 24 hours, 25 returned positive, of which 19 cases are in Bamako, the epicenter of the epidemic in Mali.

A total of 15 patients have tested negative and four deaths have also been reported in the past 24 hours in the country, a ministry statement said, adding that 1,900 contact cases are being monitored daily.

To date, this West African country has 860 confirmed cases including 52 deaths and 494 patients cured since March 25.

To contain the spread of the virus, Prime Minister Boubou Cisse announced last Saturday the extension of the closure of all education orders from May 9 to June 2, as well as the compulsory wearing of the mask in all public spaces of the country. The state of health emergency declared on March 25 in Mali is maintained, while the curfew has been lifted.

West Africa remains the region of sub-Saharan Africa most affected by COVID-19 with more than 23,000 cases since February 27, when Nigeria reported its first confirmed case.

The health services of Mali reported this Monday, May 18, 2020, 14 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provisional number of cases to 874.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 100 samples tested, 14 returned positive, 11 of which are in Bamako, the epicenter of the epidemic in Mali.

A total of 18 patients have tested negative and no deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, a ministry statement said, adding that 1,443 contact cases are being tracked daily.

To date, this West African country has had 874 confirmed cases, including 52 deaths and 512 cures, since March 25.

27 new confirmed cases of covid-19 were registered in Mali on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, bringing the provisional number to 901 in this country.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 154 samples tested, 27 returned positive, including 22 cases found in Bamako, epicenter of the pandemic in Mali.

A total of 17 patients have tested negative and one death has been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, the ministry statement said, adding that 1,708 contact cases are being monitored daily.

The Timbuktu region in northern Mali, where the security situation remains difficult, has a total of 19 positive cases, including one death. Health officials say "care is going well," but health workers are facing a lack of adequate equipment.

To date, this West African country has 901 confirmed cases, including 53 deaths and 529 cured, since March 25.

These new cases bring the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 1,077, including 617 recoveries and 70 deaths.

The registered cases are currently being treated on the treatment sites while searches continue to find the contact persons, ensures the ministry.

Mali recorded this Wednesday, May 27, 2020, 39 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number to 1,116 in the country.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 247 samples tested, 39 returned positive, including 9 cases in Bamako, epicenter of the pandemic in Mali, and 20 cases in the region of Mopti where the country is facing also to terrorism.

No deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, the ministry said in a statement, adding that 1,986 contact cases are being tracked daily.

To date, this West African country has 1,116 confirmed cases, including 70 deaths and 632 cured, since March 25.

To contain the spread of the virus, Malian Prime Minister Boubou Cisse announced the extension of the closure of all education orders from May 9 to June 2, and the compulsory wearing of the mask in all public spaces of the country. The state of health emergency declared on March 25 in the country is maintained, while the curfew has been lifted.

Regarding healings, the city of Fianarantsoa has conquered the epidemic because the last patient carrying Covid-19 is declared "cured". A total of 151 cases of recovery have been identified, 459 patients are still on treatment, 10 of whom develop a severe form.

The health services of Mali reported this Thursday 75 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the provisional number to 1,461 in this country.

According to the Malian Ministry of Health and Social Affairs, out of 411 samples tested, 75 returned positive, including 53 cases in the Timbuktu region and 9 in Bamako, epicenter of the pandemic in Mali.

A total of 18 patients have tested negative and 6 deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours in the country, the ministry statement said, adding that 2,528 contact cases are being monitored daily.

To date, this West African country has had 1,461 confirmed cases, including 85 deaths and 806 cured, since March 25.

Among the 75 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, 13 were detected within the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA).

According to the spokesperson for the UN mission, MINUSMA reported a total of 109 confirmed cases, including 43 cured and two dead.

The state of health emergency declared on March 25 in Mali is still maintained, while the curfew has been lifted. Wearing a mask is also compulsory in all public places. F
