Eighty students in Ba To district of Quang Ngai province have been hospitalized with malaria, the local Health Department said Wednesday.
These students at Ba To boarding secondary school were suffered by high fever, coughing and recurring chills.
The department added that students in other schools within the district have begun to catch with such symptoms, fueling fear that the epidemic might break out throughout the whole province.
In related news, dengue outbreaks were reportedly hitting the central Vietnamese province of Quang Binh, with over 100 people hospitalized.
Health bodies in these provinces are promptly eliminating mosquito by using medical measurements and call on the residents to tidy the environment to get rid of the mosquito?s breeding grounds.
