Tokyo - An intense 7.4-magnitude earthquake has rocked the nation of Japan, specifically in the Bonin Islands. There have been no immediate reports of injuries, deaths or damage. No tsunami alert has yet been issued.

Earthquake Near Japan Triggers Tsunami Warning

TOKYO ? A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.4 has struck in the Pacific off southern Japan, triggering a tsunami warning.

Japan's Meteorological Agency has issued a tsunami warning from the quake, which occurred about 80.6 miles off the Chichi Island in the Pacific Ocean. The offshore quake struck at around in the early morning hours at a depth of 6.2 miles.

The agency issued a warning for a mild tsunami for nearby islands...
