MACAO, July 19 (Xinhua) -- Macao's Health Bureau Monday said that it recorded a newly confirmed case of Influenza A/H1N1, bringing the total number of such cases to over 3,600 so far.

According to the bureau, the new patient was a local man who has developed symptoms, such as cough, sore throat, fever, since July 15, and the medical lab run by the bureau confirmed on Monday that he contracted the A/H1N1 virus.

The patient, who was not inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccine, did not travel outside Macao before falling ill and no other such cases were found in his family.

The bureau also said that the patient was still receiving medical treatments at a local hospital, but his health condition has improved.

More than 116,000 persons have been inoculated with the A/H1N1 vaccines by far in Macao, according to the statistics previously released by the bureau.
