James Harris Hansell, 57, died on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. At the time of his death he was being treated in Boston for amyloidosis, a rare blood disorder. He had recently received a stem cell transplant which appeared to have successfully put the disease into remission. But while recovering from the transplant, he contracted influenza which could not be controlled.
