Since August 1, bluetongue has been detected in a total of 386 farms through laboratory tests.
In the period from September 11th to 18th, 98 animals tested positive for bluetongue and bluetongue was detected in 26 other farms through laboratory tests.
Compared to August 2023, the ALVA found an increased mortality rate in both cattle and sheep in August 2024.
In the period from September 9th to 15th, 2024, mortality fell slightly in cattle and even significantly in sheep compared to August 2024.
Of the 240,000 available vaccine doses, 91,300 doses have so far been distributed to veterinarians.
