Non-pathogenic H1N1 reported in Cheshire turkeys

DEFRA has announced the H1N1 avain influenza virus has been found in a flock of turkeys on a farm in Cheshire but there is no danger to neighbouring farms or to people.
The routine investigation into ill turkeys, and a subsequent lab test, detected the H1N1 virus, but not to levels which would result in the government being required to take action. All restrictions on the farm have been lifted and the bird's health has improved....
