A brush fire burning on the Westbank in Jefferson Parish is creating a smoky haze that is drifting to Harahan, Metairie, Kenner and other nearby communities.Few details on the fire were available Wednesday evening, but it began as storms that produced lightning moved across the area.

Jefferson Parish, La. -- Strong winds blew lots of smoke from a marsh fire on the West Bank Wednesday evening towards East Bank neighborhoods in Jefferson and Orleans Parishes.
The Kenner Fire Department first reported that there was lots of smoke in the air near Armstrong International Airport just before 7:00 p.m.
The Jefferson Parish Fire Department says the cause of the smoke is a marsh fire that is burning near Waggaman on the West Bank. A spokesman for Jefferson Parish authorities says the fire is out now. ... http://www.fox8live.com/story/18722934/marsh-fire
