The Deputy First Minister and Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon will be conducting a media briefing at St Andrew's House to provide an update on the current position regarding swine flu.
Ms Sturgeon will be joined at the 3pm BST briefing by Scotland's Chief Medical Officer, Dr Harry Burns.
It is expected the briefing will include a test result on an individual who came into contact with Iain Askham. Mr Askham and his wife Dawn tested positive for swine flu.
There are fears Graeme Pacitti has now tested positive. He was originally cleared but continued to show symptoms and further tests confirmed he was suffering from influenza A.
