Legionella in Los Angeles + multiple machine translations = Hilarious Translation Error

alert

First, we get a probable Legionella outbreak in Los Angeles, that may be linked to the Playboy Mansion:

http://www.flutrackers.com/forum/showthread.php?p=393293

Then, a Spanish source from Spain picks up the story:

http://www.abc.es/20110214/estilo-gente/abci-mansion-playboy-201102141747.html

and doesn't realize that a Playboy "bunny" is not an animal at all and reports that "bunnies" are ill, without explanation.

The ProMED Portuguese site then picks up the story here (in Portuguese, using the Spanish article):

http://www.promedmail.org/pls/apex/..._BACK_PAGE,F2400_P1001_PUB_MAIL_ID:1050,87103

and reports that it is a curiosity that rabbits (coelhas in Portuguese) are being affected by Legionella. At least they didn't call it Rabbit Flu!!
