We’re pleased to announce the launch of the first saliva-based PCR test for Monkeypox. What sets us apart from major commercial laboratories assisted by the CDC and even the CDC itself is that we are using saliva specimens that allow us to focus on mass testing of pre-symptomatic close contacts in addition to those showing visible lesions.

At Flow Health, we’ve built high throughput laboratories coast to coast to support the response to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. We have an automated workflow that will allow us to run more than 50,000 Monkeypox tests per day, if necessary. Initially, all Monkeypox tests will be performed at our Culver City, California (Los Angeles) CLIA certified laboratory where we can currently process more than 20,000 Monkeypox tests per day, in addition to running our COVID-19 testing operations.

...We are looking to expand testing sites across Southern California and the nation. We will also be launching a mail order option where anyone can order a test kit and return the sample to us for processing.

Flow Health is partnering with medical offices, urgent care centers and public testing sites to offer its innovative Monkeypox testing. All tests will be processed within 24 hours of collection at our public sites in Los Angeles or within 24 hours from the time our lab in Los Angeles receives the specimen.
