Latvia records highest Covid-19 death rate in EU and EEA

RIGA - Latvia recorded the highest Covid-19 death rate in the European Union and the European Economic Area last week, according to the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
In the past two weeks, October 18 to 31, Latvia's Covid-19 mortality rate increased to 244.8 deaths per one million population.
Latvia is followed by Bulgaria with 242.7 and Romania with 230.3 deaths per million residents.
In the EU and EEA, the average Covid-19 death rate was 27.2 per million population...
