LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) - The Lafayette School Corporation reports Jefferson High School has its first confirmed case of H1N1.

Superintendent Ed Eiler says the student had been away from school for several days, and is now fever free and back in class.

A letter is being sent home to parents, notifying them of the flu case at Jeff.

This is the fifth school in the Lafayette School Corporation reporting a confirmed case of H1N1. The other schools include Murdock, Glen Acres, Tecumseh, and Earhart.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) -

Another case of the H1N1 flu virus is being reported in the Lafayette School Corporation.

Superintendent Ed Eiler said the latest case is at Oakland Elementary School.

This is the seventh LSC school to report a case of H1N1.

Other school buildings with confirmed cases of H1N1 are: Jefferson High School, Tecumseh Junior High, Sunnyside Middle School, Earhart Elementary, Murdoch Elementary, and Glen Acres Elementary Schools.

Students at all those schools have been sent home with a letter notifying parents about the flu.

There have been no confirmed cases of H1N1 reported in the Tippecanoe School Corporation or the West Lafayette Community School Corporation.
