For the other two proven cases, they are two people aged 78 and 37. The oldest is linked to the cruise group in the Bahamas and the second returned to Reunion after a stay in mainland France. The second case shared a 3rd age meal on Sunday 8 March. Meal during which 28 other people were present. The two new cases are located in Saint-Denis.
The third case is a 37-year-old woman who has no connection to the cruise line. She returned to Reunion on March 11 after a stay in mainland France. Showing symptoms, she called Samu-center 15 as soon as she arrived.
8 people have already undergone a sample, 20 people were awaiting a sample "in a spirit of precaution", explains Martine Ladoucette.
A total of 55 people are currently in containment. People who are considered to be co-exposed to the virus.
The 3 cases are currently being followed up in the pneumology department of the CHU nord. They are in stable condition.
