KUWAIT CITY, April 3 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait reported on Friday 75 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 417, the Health Ministry said in a statement.

Among the new cases, there are six Kuwaiti citizens who returned from Britain and Iran and one Iraqi resident who arrived from Iraq, according to the ministry statement...

Kuwait reported 77 new cases of the novel coronavirus, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 556, the Ministry of Health announced on Sunday.

Out of the 77 cases, one is of a Kuwaiti national who had traveled to France, while 74 cases are of individuals who had direct contact with previously infected cases of the virus, according to the ministry.

The 74 cases include: two Kuwaitis, 58 Indians, 8 Pakistanis, three Bangladeshis, two Egyptians, and on Iranian.

Dubai: Kuwait has recorded another 55 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,355, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

According to Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, one new virus-related death was also confirmed - a 79-year-old citizen who suffered from chronic illnesses, pushing the country’s death toll to three.

During its daily briefing, Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al Sanad said that 26 patients were in intensive care - nine of them are in critical condition and 17 are stable.
