Dr. Ahmad Al-Shatti, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, confirmed that the rates of seasonal influenza in the country are normal and according to the world record.
Al-Shatti told Al-Qabas in response to what has been circulated in social networking sites about the existence of isolated cases of people infected with swine flu in a hospital, that ?health? has taken all measures and procedures to address them, as well as the existence of educational programs and awareness to prevent them throughout the year.
He pointed out that the name of ?swine flu? no longer exists, after the World Health Organization called the ?seasonal flu? since 2010.
