Kuban a city in Krasnodar where a raven was found with h5n1 reported on the 28th of February. The only town mentioned in the regular influenza epidemic also mentioned in the h5n1 outbreak is labinsk.

In the vicinity of Kuban 19,600 people were listed with influenza/acute respitory infection within the last week. Most were among children.
