EMS student sent home with possible case of mumps

There is a case of what symptoms indicate to be mumps at the Emporia Middle School.
The student is now at home. School nurse Erica Miller examined the student and sent what was gleaned from the examination to the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, per common procedure.
Erin Reece, the public information officer for the Flint HIlls Community Health Center, said doctors have determined that ?there is a probable case, but it has not been confirmed at this time...?

The probable case of mumps, discovered this week with a Emporia Middle School student, is looking like a false alarm, said Flint HIlls Community Health Center Clinic Director Renee Hively.
