Four cases of Nile fever virus in Kosovo

The National Institute of Public Health (IKSHPK) has announced that four cases of people infected with West Nile virus have been confirmed in Kosovo so far.
In an update made on Monday, IKSHPK announced that the first imported case was confirmed on 07.08.2024 to a resident of the municipality of Fushë - Kosovo.
The second case is said to be autochthonous and was confirmed on 09.08.2024, in a resident of Bardhi Madh in the municipality of Fushë - Kosovo.
The third case is also said to be autochthonous and was confirmed on 30.08.2024, in a resident of Prizren.
The fourth case is said to be an imported case and was confirmed on 05.09.2024, to a resident of the village of Rufc i Vjetër in the municipality of Lipjan.
All cases were treated at the Infectious Diseases Clinic and after the improvement of their health, they were discharged home...
