Epidemiological Observations: Outbreak of fever in a crowded community sharing the same water source. Card test for typhoid positive in 15 IP cases and 2 OP cases. 16 patients on treatment as IP. 2 sent home with medicines. The area is a low land, water source is water authority tap water. The pipe line was found recently broken and repaired. Pipe line runs close to the sewage drains. Water Sample collected. Will be sent to Regional Lab Kozhikkod tomorrow. Investigated by District RRT and area field staff in the institution and the area of the affected PHC.
