15 hospitalised for suspected chikungunya disease

KOZHIKODE: At least 15 people have been admitted to various hospitals in the district for suspected chikungunya disease, official sources here
said on Tuesday.
?Most of the cases have been reported from Perambra in the district and the blood samples have been sent to Hyderabad for confirmation,? they said.
As the state has started experiencing intermittent rains with onset of monsoon, the administration was gearing up itself to check outbreak of epidemic diseases, they said.
