A second Multi Drug Resistance TB patient has been detected in Kakamega county. Western provincial TB and Leprosy Coordinator Sylvester Adalla said yesterday the first case was detected early last year in Khayega in Shinyalu constituency. Adalla said the patient, who was identified early this year from Kakamega Central district, has already been placed under the Directly Observed Treatment programme. The first Extra Drug Resistance (XDR) TB in the country, an advanced MDR was detected in Busia in Western province three years ago...
