3 Pediatric Flu-Related Deaths In Ky.

A Lexington child has died from the flu making that the third flu-related pediatric death in Kentucky and the 45th pediatric death in the US this season.The flu is causing hundreds of deaths across the country and is responsible for at least 32 deaths here in Kentucky. For the sixth straight week, Kentucky is reporting widespread flu status and more flu-related deaths: 29 adults and three children.

Second Powell County woman dies from flu in less than 2 months

POWELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - By the middle of May the flu has normally ended, or at least it?s typically winding down. But that?s not the case in Kentucky this year. The Cabinet for Health and Family Services says they?re still confirming new flu cases.


On Mother?s Day, a Powell County woman died after her family said she suffered complications from the flu.

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services says there have been 36 flu deaths in Kentucky this flu season which typically lasts from October thru May. Three of those deaths were children, 33 were adults.
