Kentucky has largest yet one-day increase of COVID-19 cases Tuesday

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky saw its largest one-day increase of COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.

There are now at least 163 confirmed cases of the virus in the commonwealth.

Those cases are spreading throughout the state. We now know about more cases in Eastern Kentucky. And in Fayette County the number of cases double Tuesday to 28...
 
Kentucky Reports 2 Additional Coronavirus-Related Deaths
Gov. Andy Beshear has reported two more deaths related to the new coronavirus in Kentucky.

The latest virus-connected deaths involved a 75-year-old woman in Fayette County and a 77-year-old man in Hopkins County, Beshear said. It's the first time Kentucky has reported multiple deaths in one day from the virus, he said.

That raised Kentucky's coronavirus-related death toll to seven since the pandemic began.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WAVE) - The state of Kentucky is closing in on 500 coronavirus cases.

During his daily briefing Monday, Gov. Andy Beshear reported 42 new cases, saying that one is “presumptive.” The state total now stands at 480.

Beshear also confirmed two more deaths -- an 88-year-old woman in Kenton County and a 90-year-old woman from Simpson County. Both had been suffering from other health conditions.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kentucky rose to 770 on Thursday, an increase of 100 since Wednesday, according to Gov. Andy Beshear.

Beshear also announced during his daily briefing in Frankfort that there have been at least 31 deaths related to the virus statewide, an increase of 11 since Wednesday.
