Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 Eurasian lineage goose/Guangdong clade 2.3.4.4b has been confirmed in samples from dairy cattle in Idaho (ID), Kansas (KS), Michigan (MI), New Mexico (NM), North Carolina (NC), Ohio (OH), South Dakota (SD) and Texas (TX). Updates to the detections of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in livestock can be found at: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/livestock-poultry-disease/avian/avian-influenza/hpai-detections/livestock. Wildlife detections unrelated to these livestock detections are reported from Missouri (MO), Kentucky (KY) and New York (NY).
