Re: Kansas %ILI Week 39

I noticed on the Northeast Kansas chart the % ILI went down sharply (?!?). Any explanation for that?

Not if you look at ER rates.

Keep in mind also that the data is noisy at the best of times but take a look at this chart for the SE ER visits.

Re: Kansas %ILI Week 39

Something I've noticed in several states is that the %ILI from sentinal providers has leveled off or only slightly increased, while during the same period the emergency department %ILI have gone up sharply by comparison.

In several cases the number of sentinels providing data in time for the weekly reports has dropped significantly recently. Some of the missing data is being backdated into future reports. For example not only did Texas return to a rising trend this week but they also recalculated last week's figure up significantly and there still seems to be more data to be added.

Re: Kansas %ILI Week 39

but they have the outpatient ILI-rates for the 6 regions.

What's the average duration of a wave (from crossing the baseline from below
to crossing the baseline from above) for

cities
counties
states
the 10 regions
whole USA

it should be steeper and shorter for the cities
