Jordan suspends the attendance and departure times in schools and universities

Muhammad Khair Abu Qadis, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Jordan, announced the suspension of work schedules for attendance and return to remote education in all schools in the Kingdom for all academic levels, including kindergartens, from Wednesday morning until further notice.
The Jordanian minister also announced - in joint press statements with the Minister of State for Media Affairs, the official spokesperson for the government, Eng. Sakher Dudin, that the administrative and educational bodies will continue to work in schools at a minimum, in order to ensure the provision of a distance education service to students, according to the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
He said that the Higher Education Council decided to stop work in all forms of education on campus for all higher education institutions from universities and university colleges without exception, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, until the first of next April, indicating that these decisions came in light of the continuous increase in the number of Coronavirus infections in the country.
Earlier in the day, the Jordanian Ministry of Health announced that 7,072 new cases of coronavirus, 59 deaths, and 4,024 recoveries had been recorded.
