حثت نقابة المهندسين الزراعيين وزارة الزراعة العمل على فرض رسوم جمركية على استيراد البيض السائل والمجمد في حال السماح باستيرادها من بلاد غير موبوءة بما يضمن الحفاظ على استمرارية قطاع بيض المائدة في المملكة.

Agricultural Engineers Association has urged the Ministry of Agriculture and Labor to impose customs duties on the importation of liquid eggs and frozen in the event of being imported from non-endemic countries to ensure the preservation of the continuity of the white table in the Kingdom.

وكانت وزارة الزراعة قد سمحت لبعض التجار باستيراد مادة البيض السائل المجمد من جمهورة مصر العربية والتي سبق ان استوطن فيها مرض انفلونزا الطيور.

The Ministry of Agriculture has allowed some traders to import frozen liquid eggs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, which have already been settled by the bird flu.

واشارت النقابة في رسالة رفعتها الى وزير الزراعة سعيد المصري الى ان قطاع الدواجن من اهم القطاعات الاقتصادية في المملكة, وبانه شهد تطوراً في السنوات الاخيرة من خلال الاستثمارات الضخمة فيه, وبانه وصل الى مرحلة التصدير الى البلدان المجاورة وادخال العملة الصعبة.

The union brought in a letter to the Minister of Agriculture said that the Egyptian poultry sector is one of the most important economic sectors in the Kingdom, and that he had developed in recent years by huge investments in it, and that he has arrived at a point of export to neighboring countries and the introduction of hard currency.

واكدت النقابة ان استيراد هذه المادة خاصة من بلد استوطن فيه مرض انفلونزا الطيور قد يلحق الاذى بقطاع الدواجن ويساعد على تدميره ان انتقلت العدوى بمرض انفلونزا الطيور لا سمح الله من جراء استيراد هذه المادة.

The union said the import of this article, especially from a country settled by the bird flu could harm the poultry sector and help to destroy the spread of bird flu, God forbid, as a result of the import of this article.

وأشار مسؤول ملف الانتاج الحيواني بالنقابة نائب النقيب عبدالشكور جمجوم الى ان البيض المسال خزن في مصر اثناء ظهور مرض انفلونزا الطيور وذلك لاستيعاب المخزون الكبير من بيض المائدة جراء عزوف المصريين عن شراء البيض, ولفت الى انه سمح مؤخرا باستيراد 18 طن من البيض المسال المصري يتم توزيعه على المطاعم والفنادق وبعض المخابز ومحلات الحلويات.
